ATM Technical Coordinator at Flushing Bank

Job Description:

General Statement of Duties:






The ATM Technical Coordinator is responsible for the administration of the Bank's Automated Teller Machine (ATM), services and related systems. Ensures ATMs are in service and functioning at an optimal level at all times and is responsible for maintaining efficient ATM operational processes. The Technical Coordinator will manage network relationships working closely with vendors, management and Information Technology. The Coordinator will often be deployed to work on-site at ATM locations and be required to work off-hours when machine problems arise or projects are underway.



Major Duties and Responsibilities:




  • Holds the Compliance Liaison role in conjunction with the ADA and other compliance programs regarding the ATM network.

  • Plans and schedules the installation, de-installation and relocation of the company's ATM machines. Coordinates with Database Admin., outside vendors and other operational areas as required.


  • Tracks, schedules and retains reports related to upgrades, software and hardware changes.

  • Prepare test scripts and retains support.

  • Monitors available applications to ensure the ATMs are in service and takes appropriate steps to ensure machines are restored to service as quickly as possible.

  • Assists in diagnosing problems on-site and ttroubleshoots machine malfunctions and pperforms first line maintenance when needed such as clearing paper jams, card jams, bill jams, etc.

  • Prioritizes and plans service calls and maintains records for service and remediation

  • Follows key/alarm/combination control processes

  • Escalates problems and maintains effective communication with management and team members concerning issues, accurately reporting service data

  • Build and maintain effective internal and external partnerships and stakeholder relationships, to enhance 2-way communication and support the delivery of ATM Services.

  • Evaluates ATM performance by reviewing reports and monitoring systems, formulates recommendations and takes proactive measures to improve performance.

  • Ensures the proper display of ATM screens and signage regarding process flow, compliance and marketing.

  • Ensures the branch staff is familiar with the capabilities of the ATM system to effectively market the service to customers.

  • Keeps informed of new developments or ideas that would affect the ATM system through publications and occasional outside visits and meetings.

  • Assists with the develop of procedures to support the delivery of efficient and effective operating processes that meet audit controls and meet federal, state, and regulatory guidelines.

  • Performs other duties, as assigned.





  • Minimum Qualifications:




    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



    • Ability to plan and organize

    • 3-4 years' experience in ATM Operations.

    • Knowledge of Hyosung machines preferred

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Understanding of ATM hardware, software and the ability to troubleshoot machine malfunctions

    • Familiarity with information technology

    • Ability to explain technical issues to technical and nontechnical stakeholders

    • Knowledge of Mas - Hamilton locks

    • Excellent time management skills

    • Routine local travel that requires driving and walking into and around various ATM locations.

    • Must be able to provide own transportation or to operate a vehicle with a valid driver's license, and able to commute and arrive at intended destination in a timely manner and/or as required.

    • Professional in appearance

    • Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft applications

    • Strong oral and written communication skills.

    • Ability to recognize risk and potential exposure to loss

    • Must be available as escalation point on evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
