What you will do:

Are you an inquisitive software engineer looking to join a small team where you can make a difference? We’re looking for you! Join our team of engineers tasked with developing and improving our industry-leading control systems for compressor technology and other types of packaged equipment. Expect to work with an experienced and supportive team while having ownership of development projects and tasks.

YORK® Process Systems and FRICK® by Johnson Controls are designed to deliver high performance and robustly efficient product solutions. Our development teams design, develop, and deploy standard and customized solutions for a range of processing industries, as well as provide refrigeration components on an OEM basis to packagers and systems integrators.

How you will do it:

• Develop specific software components to deliver new features based on specifications


• Evaluate various technologies and development tools to assist in addressing technical challenges


• Investigate and understand issues with existing software systems and products in order to propose and develop solutions


• Support the testing and documentation of software changes


• Support the release of new software versions into the production environment


• Manage code bases using Jira issue tracking and Git version control


• Independently manage development projects and interface with other internal development teams

What we look for:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field


• 3-5 years software development experience

Preferred:

• Proficient in object-oriented software languages
