- Perform all press make-ready functions in accordance with safety and quality guidelines
- Hang plates, load ink, load stock.
- Bring and maintain ink settings to and at proper levels.
- Verify job ticket specifications and assure that all materials needed to produce jobs are available.
- Run print jobs upon obtaining quality check approval from group leader or manager.
- Maintain consistency of quality throughout press runs.
- Remove plates and inks and wash-up press upon completion of orders and otherwise maintain the press in good working order.
- Troubleshoot problems with jobs and/or press as necessary.
- Report any press malfunctions or problems with jobs which cannot be easily resolved to either group leader or manager.
- Report any shortage or low level of press room supplies to group leader or manager.
- Performs other production tasks associated with Offset Printing.
- Performs other general tasks as assigned
Job Requirements
- Previous Lithography experience required. Must progress from Litho Stacker, to Litho Feeder then Litho Press Set Up and Operator
- Must be able to use scale and margin guides
- Must be available to work night shift, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
- 12-hour shift required
- Frequently lift 35 pounds or more, stand on feet long periods of time, and walk often
