Kforce's client, a full-service, Long Island, NY-based accounting firm is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their growing Outsourced Accounting team.

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing client relationships and actively handling the accounting needs for clients. In addition, you will be assisting with the management of the overall service line, implementation of new technologies and providing our clients with exceptional service. Responsibilities Include:
Accounting Manager will be working close with leader of outsourced accounting in terms of growing the department
Implementation of new technologies, as well as training on any current technologies
Providing value to the department and to our client relationships
Client related responsibilities:
Working closely with assigned clients to assess and handle of all of their general accounting needs; Acting at times as outsourced controller or CFO
As an Accounting Manager, you will review bookkeeping and accounting reports, which include sales tax reports, payroll reports, payroll tax returns, monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and other reports required by clients
Review of the month-end process for clients, including journal entries, as well as provide recommendations and suggestions for such processes; The initial work could be performed within this department or by the client
Managing team of outsourced accounting support
Provide backup support as needed to other accounting services personnel and their clients
Involved in client's business on a real time basis; This includes discussing short- and long-term goals
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent related degree and experience
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, either public in client service accounting or private
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
Capable of managing multiple client engagements
A track record of building and sustaining client relationships and high-quality client service
Outstanding problem solving, analytical, organizational and project management skills
Proficient with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
