Job Description:

Purpose



This role exemplifies a "best in class" customer service focus, while providing support for project teams within the Networks Organization. This role will provide subject matter expertise in the Purchasing process, PMO SAP Support processes (such as TECO/Unitization), as well as systems (such as SAP/iBuy), develop and deliver training, process improvements, and tool enhancements. The position works closely with the project team to ensure the timely processing of Purchase Orders and invoices. The qualified candidate must have demonstrated experience in critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and agility.




Responsibilities




Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, and other relationships:

  • Lead PMO initiatives and special projects.
  • Subject matter expert in the Purchasing process (including Delegated/iBuy purchasing).
  • Support all SAP processes.
  • Develop and deliver training.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings.
  • Develop presentations, data visualization, reporting and responses for ad-hoc requests.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Identify competency development opportunities.
  • Build rapport, actively listen, share, understand, and make connections to facilitate information sharing and approachability.
  • Anticipate stakeholder needs, assess requirements, and identify solutions.


Major Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Leads assigned projects with indirect supervision with strong initiative.
  • Lead the PMO team in SAP processes.
  • Provide SAP and iBuy support to project teams (units) by preparing purchase requests and purchase orders, processing invoices, creating work orders, setting up WBS, requesting controlling orders, completing accruals, CIAC processing, TECOing, unitization, creating bids, ITEOs, PAs, tracking approvals, and closing delegated purchase tenders.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for TECO and Unitization, SAP and iBuy systems (create tenders and delegated purchases); support PMs with processes, including creating bids, ITEOs, PAs, tracking approvals, and closing tenders.
  • Responsible for team's performance of Internal AVANGRID Controls and SOX compliance on behalf of Project's organization.
  • Develop and deploy training material/programs to improve efficiencies within the organization.
  • Produces reports and coordinates document review.
  • Identifies process issues and works closely with project management process and standards to identify possible improvements.
  • Identifies and assists in competency development opportunities.
  • Develops innovative solutions to project management and project controls using new or enhanced tools (i.e. Primavera, excel, SAP).
  • Communicates effectively to project teams and senior management on problems or needs. May be required to present information regarding ideas and anticipates objections to gain understanding on correct course of action.
  • Builds rapport, actively listens, sharing, understand, and makes connections to facilitate information sharing and approachability. Being approachable means putting others at ease so that they can succeed.
  • Anticipates project manager and stakeholder needs, assess requirements and identifies new solutions.


Skills/Abilities:
  • Proficiency in SAP
  • Change Management Certification
  • MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Access expertise required
  • Must be self-directed and demonstrate initiative

Skills and Requirements





  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, business, economics or related field preferred.
  • Associates Degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  • SAP proficiency is required.
  • Change Management Certification preferred.
