Job Responsibilities:

This position will work as a member of the information security team to support the department’s mission of delivering a comprehensive, forward-thinking, effective suite of information security governance and operations functions.  Job duties include but are not limited to: Creation and review of documentation, event response and escalation, continual monitoring of security posture to ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory guidelines, automation of tasks, management of patch cycles and remediation. The Information Security Analyst will provide first level compliance monitoring, forensic analysis, fact gathering, and evidence retention. They will assist with applications/tools including, but not limited to, SIEM/email gateway protection and DLP tools.

 

Qualifications:

The preferred candidate will possess a possess a High School Diploma or equivalent with associated industry certifications such as MTA Security Fundamentals, Security+, and CEH, related post-secondary course work, or related work experience.  This individual will have strong communication skills to include the ability to work effectively as a member of a team and the ability to properly handle confidential files and materials. Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills are required to be successful in this role. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge with MS Server Operating Systems, Unix/Linux, and Networking Fundamentals.
