Our Corporate team has an immediate opening at our Voorhees, NJ Office a Bill of Materials Specialist who is ready to take their career to the next level. As a Bill of Materials Specialist at Comar you will be responsible for the creation, maintenance and accuracy of all vendors, products, and bill of materials to produce manufactured parts in our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. What you will do:
Create, modify, and ensure accurate and consistent information (i.e., raw materials, packaging, labor, and cycle time) is being entered to create multi-level Bills of Materials (BOMs) within DELMIAWorks (formally IQMS).
Create, modify and maintain accurate and consistent inventory or part setup for procured parts.
Responsible for building and handling all change control processes required for BOM accuracy.
Become fully competent in using DELMIAWorks (ERP software) to perform the required work.
Work with Project Managers, Purchasing and Quality teams to ensure that the BOM has the correct structure as well as the correct components and quantities in DELMIAWorks.
Understand cost impact of changing BOMs and Items as well as impact on production use, inventory values, variances, and COGS.
Participate in or lead teams/groups related to BOM accuracy.
Perform special cost analysis, prepare reports, and other related duties as assigned.
Engage with Quality, Supply Chain and Finance teams to resolve issues.
Create, modify, and maintain accurate and consistent vendor/supplier setup in DELMIAWorks.
Who we’re looking for:
Five years related experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to job costing and BOMs
Associates degree required,
Experience with ERP systems such as DELMIAWorks (formally IQMS), Oracle, SAP or Microsoft Dynamics.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
Preferred:
BS/BA degree
