Wood is currently recruiting for a Janitor with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. You must be able to perform various cleaning activities in offices, coffee rooms, entrances, lunchrooms and restrooms within an industrial plant site environment.
Follow the rules of safe conduct at all times
Demonstrate good housekeeping
Accurately interpret and apply information from work orders, job orders, and specifications
Identify, recognize and demonstrate safe usage of chemicals and machinery during use
Recognize various materials used on the job and demonstrate a working knowledge of appropriate material handling techniques
Vacuum-Mop-Dust- General Cleaning
Strip, Wax, and Buff Floors
Gather and empty trash
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
Service, clean, and supply restrooms
Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment
Clean and polish furniture and fixtures
Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required.

(Most applicants have only the job exposure to this type of work.) One-year experience in commercial cleaning preferred
Knowledge Requirements: READING: The employee must have the ability to read safety requirements, instructions in the correct use and care of tools, must be able to read and understand "warning labels" that are placed on various containers. (The amount of reading and understanding that is required to correctly assemble a model car or airplane is sufficient. (English) Be able to write a series of numbers, names, locations, and fill out very basic forms and tags

Being near moving mechanical equipment
Possible electrical shock

Noise levels due to tools used
Fumes, dusts, and foreign material in the work area because of the nature of the work NOTE: The location of most job sites are within the confines of a chemical plant environment. Prior to working at the job site, specific training will be provided as to the nature of the products in that area, the safety requirements, the necessary protective equipment needed, procedures to follow should abnormal conditions arise
Physical Requirements:
Positions require working in climbing, bending, sitting, walking, kneeling, crawling, standing, lifting, pushing, and pulling
Good hand eye balance and the ability to distinguish colors are required in order to use the tools that are necessary to perform the required work
Employees must have vision which has good depth perception in order to judge distance and space relationships
The ability to work in elevated positions is a must
The heavy work demands will require up to 100 pounds of force to be exerted occasionally and up to 50 pounds of force to be exerted frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force to be exerted constantly to move objects
