Job Description:

PRIMARY PURPOSE

Under the guidance of the donor recruitment manager, this position is responsible for achieving individual monthly and annual collection goals within an assigned territory or across a set of blood drive account assignments through effectively leveraging and engaging the blood drive coordinators to maximize their donor recruitment efforts with an emphasis on the acquisition of first-time donors.  The incumbent is responsible for maintaining existing blood drive accounts while identifying opportunities for account growth. 

*$5,000 Sign-on Bonus!!  Paid incrementally: after 30 days, 90 days, and 12 months.*

SCHEDULE: This is a full-time, exempt/salaried position.  Flexibility is critical, including some evenings, weekends and occasional holidays.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations.  Brings compliance issues to the attention of management.

Assures quality customer service to all customers.

Maintains good attendance and punctuality per the absence policy.

Effectively collaborates with blood drives coordinators responsible for assigned accounts within a territory motivating them to leverage blood drive committees and maximize blood drive collections to successfully achieve collection goal. May be required to support blood drives through educational presentations.

Directs volunteer blood drive coordinators and committee members to ensure successful blood drives with an emphasis on acquiring first-time donors and maximizing blood drive coordinator-made donor appointments achieved through one-to-one direct ask efforts.

Within account assignment, manages high potential accounts performing below expectations by working directly with blood drive coordinator and executing tactics to improve blood drive results.

Supports the development of individualized recruitment plans for blood drives and accounts working closely with blood drive coordinators to improve their donor recruitment efforts.

Sells dates for blood drives in accordance with enterprise established guidelines designed to support achievement of monthly and annual collection goals in addition to meeting projection accuracy and productivity benchmarks.

Follows established sales/recruitment processes including but not limited to projection accuracy and operations at projection. Maintains and ensures accuracy and timeliness of account information.

Accountable for leveraging national marketing, communication and donor recruitment programs, initiatives, and strategy in achieving results.

May help oversee special event blood drives and recognition event needs.

Performs all other duties, at the discretion of management, as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge/Education

Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of formal education and experience required.  

Licenses/Certifications

Valid in–state driver’s license required.

Experience

One-year related experience preferred.

Skills/Abilities

Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities. 

Must be able to maintain confidentiality. 

Effective oral and written communication skills.  

Sales/territory management skills.

Must be self-motivated and a self-starter with good organization skills.

Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.  

Provide own vehicle for transportation and have a decent driving record

Proficient personal computer skills.
