Quality Control Manager Opportunity! Sign-On Bonus up to $5,000

Johnson Controls is hiring a Quality Control Manager.  This position is located in Marinette WI.

The Quality Control Manager will Conducts the production activities of manufacturing organizations to optimize resource use, minimize costs and maintain quality standards. Activities include planning, managing and reviewing production operations to achieve output and quality objectives; monitoring expenditures and forecasting resource inputs; and operating, monitoring and maintaining production equipment. 

How you will do it:


  • Advises on, supervises, and performs administrative and technical work primarily concerned with the assurance and inspection of material, products, and processes for conformance with established specifications and standards; and for compliance with regulatory specifications and standards.

  • Responsible for verifying the final quality of products on the production line and also separating those that do not have the desired technical specification, through checking with measurement instruments or equipment, aiming to follow the norms and standards of quality defined by the company.

  • Conducts nondestructive examination(NDE) and quality control (QC) inspections on products, materials, components, parts, etc., at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards.

  • Captures and analyzes statistical data from processes to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standards.

  • Recommends new or enhanced methods, procedures and standards. Require technical or managerial knowledge and ability, plus a practical knowledge of quality assurance and control concepts and systems.

Responsibilities include:


  • Provides work leadership and training to ensure policies, practices, and procedures are understood and adhered to.

  • Resolves quality issues by conferring with management and other departments.

  • Develops and maintains Quality road map.

  • Develops and maintains departmental processes and Quality standards.

  • Coordinates Quality audits and administrative d

  • Develops and implements key measurables to drive and ensure that the business objectives are achieved continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality team.

  • Plans or develops applications or modifications for products or systems to improve and drive Quality performance.

  • Participates in the hiring process by reviewing credentials and conducting interviews.

  • Maintains a strong working knowledge of the functionality of all quality approaches by continually learning and implementing best practices.

  • Ensures alignment between local level activity and overall business strategy.

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field

  • 6-8 years of quality assurance in a manufacturing setting

  • Previous Management experience
