Media Account Executive - Emmis Communications, Indianapolis

Job Summary

Emmis Indianapolis is seeking a motivated Media Account Executive who is passionate about helping clients grow their business while earning a great living. Our Indianapolis market includes top radio brands News Talk/WIBC, Sports Talk/The Fan, B105.7/WYXB, Hank FM/WLHK, and robust and creative Digital Department.

Success in this role requires generating media revenues through new business development and growing key accounts. Success is accomplished by working collaboratively with our various marketing specialists, making sales presentations, and directly selling to local direct businesses. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, self-starters who love media and effectively work independently and in a team environment. Candidates must identify and develop new business opportunities and consult with clients on marketing objectives and best advertising strategies.

Responsibilities:


  • Ability to meet or exceed individual revenue goals

  • Create revenues by working collaboratively with Sales Manager, Marketing Director, Digital, and support teams to create sales presentations to crucial primary, secondary and prospective accounts.

  • Consistently prospect for new business and build an entire qualified pipeline of sales prospects.

  • Analyze client marketing goals and develop needs-based solutions to exceed revenue goals

  • Oversee campaign execution and analysis on all campaigns

  • Work collaboratively with internal partners to drive revenue.

  • Grows existing client relationships; offers solutions that help clients achieve their business goals; closes business; meets set sales target.

  • Identifies client business needs and develops persuasive proposals to meet advertising needs utilizing multi-media opportunities, including Emmis Indianapolis media resources.

  • Deliver effective sales presentations with solid knowledge of the current digital landscape.

  • The candidate must maintain an entire pipeline of sales prospects consistently.


Talents Required

  • Outside Sales Experience

  • Experience in prospecting and developing new business

  • Valid driver's license with good driving record required

  • Successful Digital and Media Sales experience is preferred

  • Desire to be Coached to success

  • Ability to learn and grow personal skills and talents

  • BA/BS degree is preferred but not required

  • Ability to excel working alone and as part of a team

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Exceptional verbal and written skills

  • Hard-working, integrity, relationship-builder with a winning attitude

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

  • Ability to work with a CRM and learn windows based programs
