With a corporate mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™, Arthrex has pioneered the field of arthroscopy and develops more than 1,000 innovative products and procedures each year that support all aspects of orthopedics. The Supplier Quality team in Naples, FL is responsible for supporting all Supplier Quality operations for Arthrex. We are searching for a Supplier Quality Intern pursuing a college degree in Biomedical Engineering, or a recent graduate, to support the Supplier Quality team. The successful candidate will assist in the development/improvement of supplier quality metrics, prepare nonconformance investigation and supplier quality system audit reports with guidance from the engineering staff. The individual will also work within the requirements of their tasks to deliver results and communicate issues in a timely and accurate manner.

This internship will run from May 2022 – August 2022. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Naples, FL facility.

Main Objective:

To assist Supplier Quality team with all Supplier Quality operation tasks.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Review supplier processes and process validations to assure internal and external processes are adequate to meet specification                       




  • Work with suppliers to improve product and process quality and assist with correlations studies and inspection plans




  • Assist engineering staff in compiling and reporting on supplier performance statistics and supplier quality audits




  •  Initiate and assist suppliers with Corrective and Preventive Actions and assure actions are adequately closed




  • Assist in supplier qualifications including use and development of questionnaires, audit plans, conducting supplier audits, and engaging with suppliers toward closure of audit findings   



  • This is an in-office position located in Naples, FL; it is not a remote position.

Education and Experience:

Progress towards a college degree in Biomedical Engineering or recent Biomedical Engineering graduate required. (Students who have recently graduated are only eligible to work as an intern/co-op up to six months from their graduation date.)

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:


  • Advanced computer skills.

  • Be able to follow written and verbal direction.

  • Strong in mathematical and logical analytics required.

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
