Wintrust Marketing is looking for a stellar, nimble, and proven senior copywriter to join our team! This candidate must be an expert writer, editor, and big idea generator. Along with turning strategy into reality, they’ll mentor a team of writers and provide that staff with savvy feedback and guidance. 



If you are looking to expand your creative portfolio, this is the place. This position will be working on many different multi-channel media campaigns. For example, one day, you will be coming up with TV and radio scripts the next writing for a paid search market growth campaign. 

Responsibilites

• Translate a brief into clear and motivating creative that meets our strategic and tactical goals, and manage through to execution.




• Collaborate with designers, strategists, account managers, and stakeholders on incoming B2C and B2B projects




• Write and consult on unique and compelling marketing copy for multiple lines of business across various platforms, including: television, mobile, search, display, email, social, presentations, radio ads




• Lead or participate in brainstorming sessions, attend strategic planning sessions.




• Present work to Creative Director and team leads

• Mentor copywriters’ day-to-day activities, including reviewing their work and providing expert guidance on concepting, writing, editing, and handling feedback.




• Develop marketing and advertising ideas and concepts by staying current with marketing and audience trends and platforms, and contributing creative ideas and opinions at meetings.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of related experience




• Bachelor degree or equivelent




• Validated work experience as a senior-level copywriter with a strong portfolio




• Experience managing copywriters is a plus




• Proven and advanced understanding of how to write for many digital channels




• Excellent sense of grammar with experience using the AP Stylebook




• Advanced ability to write for multiple audiences




• Nimble in ability to understand complex concepts




• Solid communication skills




• Ability to handle multiple projects in an extremely fast-paced environment




• Detail-oriented




• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), project management systems, user experience design tools
