SJS Executives, LLC (SJS), also doing business as SJS Industrial, is currently seeking a reliable, safety conscious, experienced, General Maintenance Worker to work full time for SJS in Fresno, CA to help support operations at a Fresno based medical facility.
The Maintenance worker must possess a minimum of 4 years of verified experience.
Pay for this position is $20.08 + $4.23 Health & Welfare. Total compensation $24.31 hourly.

This person will enjoy collaborating with a team and know how to conduct themselves with decorum, as they will be working on a property owned by the United States federal government and interacting with federal employees and service members.
Responsibilities
The Maintenance Worker works from work orders and verbal instruction to perform maintenance and repair (scheduled and routine, as well as emergency), to buildings, building service equipment, installed personal property, portable equipment, furniture and fixtures This position is located in the Maintenance and Operations Section of Engineering Service. The position is to perform or assist in performing plumbing work such as installing, repairing and modifying water supply, sewage disposal, gas distribution, oil line and similar utility systems and equipment. Additionally, the position is responsible for providing carpentry services that involve assisting and constructing items using wood, wood substitutes and composite building materials.
The Maintenance Worker helps high-graded plumber by performing the simpler and more routine tasks of the trade.
Tasks:
Performs assigned routine tasks. Cuts pipe to marked sizes; cuts or drills holes as marked, screws, bolts or attaches hanger caulks or seals areas as directed; tightens connections and valves; uses plunger or snake to unclog drains and fixtures; threads pipe as directed; performs similar tasks following instructions.
Obtains, caries, lifts and positions equipment, parts and tools needed for plumbing installation and repair
Keeps equipment, tools and supplies and work site clean and in appropriate order
Assists in connecting and sealing tubing and piping, water closets, urinals, or shower drains; removing, cleaning and reinstalling simple traps and faucets; hooks up water heaters, storage tanks or disposal units to existing systems; replaces section of pipe.
Conducts water flushing, documenting/logging chlorine residuals using test kits; documenting/logging temperatures using thermometers
The Maintenance Worker helps carpenters by performing the simpler and more routine tasks of the trade.
Tasks:
Assists in assembling and installing parts and units by getting tools and supplies, carrying materials and lifting and holding materials in place; Received instruction and assists journeyman by using common carpentry tools to cut, drill and assemble work products; cleans tools and equipment and keeps work area clean and orderly.
Uses power tools such as circular saws, table saws, panel saws, band saws, battery operated drills, impact drills, glue guns, power nailers, sanders and various non-power hand tools relating to the carpenter trades such as hammers, planes, screw drivers and hand saws.
Replaces ceiling tiles and associated grid; replaces floor tiles, replaces carpet squares; installs vinyl cove base; installs various types of wall coverings and wall and door guards.
Applies standard measurements and instructions when constructing, installing or repairing such items as metal frame structures, partitions, shelving, doors and scaffolding.
Other duties include:
Replacement of florescent tubes and or incandescent light bulbs; removing obstructions and/or repairing condensation drip pans, repairing and patching and sanding drywall, limited touchup painting, application of fire caulking and sealant.
