Overview

Due to the setting of the position, SJS Executives may require the candidates to be fully vaccinated for this position. Candidate must be fully vaccinated or be willing to be fully vaccinated by date of hire.

SJS Executives, LLC (SJS), also doing business as SJS Industrial, is currently seeking a reliable, safety conscious, experienced, Painter to work full time for SJS in Fresno, CA to help support operations at a Fresno based medical facility.

The Painter must possess a minimum of 4 years of verified experience as a painter.

Pay for this position is $21.80 + $4.23 Health & Welfare. Total compensation $26.03 hourly.

SJS is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with 250 employees coast to coast and a headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia; it specializes in professional services to support federal and military organizations.

This person will enjoy collaborating with a team and know how to conduct themselves with decorum, as they will be working on a property owned by the United States federal government and interacting with federal employees and service members.

Responsibilities

The major duties and responsivities include: Redecorating offices, wards, corridors, dining halls, living quarters, and shop buildings; Painting and refinishing furniture, wood and metal, such as desks, cabinets, chairs, operating room and laundry equipment; Glazing and caulking windows on air conditioning equipment, cutting and installing glass; Installing vinyl wall coverings, hanging paper. etc.; Cutting stencil, painting signs and blending and mixing colors; Preparing coating material by tinting, toning, matching, blending, and mixing various additives; Applying special finishing techniques such as marbling and graining; and Performing other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 4 or more years of experience as a Painter


• Ability to read and apply directions that relate to the mixture, use and application of various kinds of materials.


• Knowledge of any of surface preparation and coating methods and techniques. Skill in matching, tinting, toning, and blending coating materials and in combining agents with coating materials


• Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and a thorough background check for access onto a military installation; please note the background check for this position extends past 7 years, in conformance with federal law and US Department of Justice guidelines for work on a military installation.
