The Position

The Software Manager is responsible for developing: software training, software updates, software enhancements, and managing training of software to users for new pricing and ordering application.  In order to deliver an industry-leading experience to our customers, this critical role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage training and support activities. This role will work directly with Sales, Pricing Committee, IT Development team, Customer Care team and with the network of dealers. The position reports to the EQ Department manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Lead the development and implementation of user training for the pricing and ordering software application.

  • Deliver a clear and concise training solution to team members and external customers. 

  • Suggest alternative approaches to implement business training and support requirements.

  • Adapt training and application implementation plans, as needed.

  • Learn technical details of the application and business environment quickly.

  • Review customer feedback and convert into actionable software enhancements.

  • Manage and drive software updates/ enhancements with the EQ development team.

  • Assist EQ Department with long-term support of customers using the tool.

  • Manage third level customer escalations related to software.

Other Responsibilities


  • Work effectively with Sales, Pricing, IT and external customers

  • Provide additional user support as needed.

  • Assist with field implementation issues, as necessary.

  • Provide accurate weekly, monthly and quarterly progress reports.

  • Other duties as assigned by EQ Department manager.

Skills/Experience Requirements


  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation and telephone skills, as well as good listening skills.

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with employees and customers.

  • Strong work ethic, with honesty and integrity.

  • Able to prioritize work and manage projects with minimal oversight.

  • Good time management skills.

  • Must possess computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Not afraid to suggest alternatives

  • Demonstrated leadership qualities.

  • Constant learning and developing personal capabilities.

Education Requirements


  • A Bachelor’s degree in communication, education, training development, or equivalent experience.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements


  • Usual office

  • 25% travel
