Dawes Rigging and Crane Rental, Inc.

Milwaukee, WI

Position Summary

Parts Administrator- Dawes Rigging and Crane Inc. in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Parts & Service Administrator with solid general office skills to assist the Service Department. This position is in a warehouse environment so experience with shipping is a plus. Also experience with heavy equipment parts is a plus. This is a non-exempt, full-time position with the possibility of overtime. This opportunity has a $100 company sign- bonus.

Essential Functions


  • Order parts and supplies

  • Bill parts and services

  • Verify manufacturer pricing is correct

  • Provide general clerical and administrative functions for the Service Department, such as processing documents, filing and data entry

  • Inventory parts and ensure accurate tracking, and recording of all records and other entries

  • Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, or storage yards

  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in stockrooms, or other areas

  • Verify inventory by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors

  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations

  • Positive interface with fellow employees, supervisors and customers

  • Assist Shop Supervisor as required

  • Other duties as assigned, including assisting in the shop

Skills and Experience Requirements


  • Customer service oriented

  • Strong initiative required; ability to work independently

  • Must have solid general office skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Must be able to operate office equipment and technology

  • Experience with heavy equipment parts is a definite plus

  • Experience with operating a forklift is a plus

  • Must be able to stand, walk, squat, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.
