General Purpose

Ensure the effective functioning of all MRC restaurant facilities, and to provide an efficient and safe working environment for employees and guests by using best business practices to manage resources, services and processes to meet the needs of the organization.

Main Job Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities


  • Continue to support develop and implement creative facility management programs including preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements


  • Conduct and document regular facilities site planning inspections


  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, and food safety standards


  • Support / coordinate intra-office moves as needed


  • Supervise maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment


  • Oversee facility maintenance daily needs and follow up


  • Implement best practice processes and SOPs to ensure every restaurant is properly cleaned and well maintained 


  • Obtain quotes and proposals from vendors and service providers


  • Calculate and compare costs for goods and services to maximize cost-effectiveness through data analytics


  • Coordinate and monitor activities of service providers with the operations team


  • Manage service provider and vendor relationships, and conduct quarterly reviews, bringing concerns and solution to the Director of Facilities & Construction


  • Manage and review service agreements to ensure facility management needs are being met


  • Ensure service schedules, cost, timing, and quality criteria are met


  • Check completed work by service providers and vendors for quality assurance


  • Verify payment and invoicing match contract pricing


  • Plan and monitor service with our team members to ensure we do not disrupt daily business


  • Coach, manage, develop and train team members on facility processes while continuously working with the training team to create and update all facility related materials and e-learns


  • Manage and track facility,  R&M scheduled and unscheduled Budgets and expenses


  • Manages expenses and payments


  • Generate and present regular reports and reviews of facility-related budgets, finances, contracts, expenditures, and purchases


  • Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives


  • Advise on and monitor energy efficiency


  • Oversee environmental health and safety, food safety


  • Assure security of the facilities


  • Respond to facility and equipment emergencies and critical failures to support team members


  • Provide prompt response to requests and issues from all team members

Education and Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Facilities Engineering or related qualification such as project management, business management or construction management


  • 1 – 3 years direct facility management experience


  • Working knowledge of principles and practices of project management


  • Working knowledge of principles and practices of business administration


  • Working knowledge of financial principles and practices


  • working knowledge of human resources, ADA, OSHA, Food safety compliance


  • Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical, HVAC systems


  • Working knowledge of procurement and service agreements


  • Sound knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations


  • Experience in construction, maintenance, and all facets of facility operation I would remove construction from this bullet


  • Supervisory experience


  • Solid computer and systems knowledge, including, Service Channel, Excel, word, and google platform including email, sheets, docs and drive.
