The Caldwell YMCA opened its doors on October 27, 2005. Since that time it has become a hallmark of the community, impacting the lives of thousands of kids and families. Facility amenities include a large cardio and weight floor, full-court basketball gym, three fitness studios, and a state of the art aquatics center including a lap-pool, splash pad, pretzel slide, and lazy-river.

Kids Zone Staff is responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate experiences for children from 6 weeks to 6 years in a group setting and for the general safety of the participants in his/her group.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and ensure safety of participants, staff and volunteers in assigned program areas.
Organize, supervise and facilitate children in a variety of activities that are culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate in an indoor setting.
Adheres to program standards including and cleanliness standards.
Ensure program facility, equipment is ready for use and deemed safe, including storage areas are clean and organized.
Informs, involves and engages families with participants' activities.
Stay informed of youth program offerings and cross promote when appropriate.

Qualifications:

Must be 16 years of age, preferred High school graduate or equivalent.
Six months of experience working with children preferred.
Food Handlers Certification required within 10 days of hire. (All position dealing with food, CD, South/Meridian, Camp Kitchen).

Schedule:
Approximate hour per week; 20 - 25 hours. Monday - Friday, 8:30-1, 3-7 or 4-8. Weekends 9-12.
