Job Description:

BSA Lifestructures is searching for a licensed Architect that wants to join a firm that specializes in creating places that support the entrepreneurial spirit that leads to groundbreaking and life-enhancing discoveries. This role will lead and/or oversee the preparation of design ideas, architectural documentation, and the executable delivery of projects, primarily focused in our discovery market.


Position Purpose/Summary


The purpose of this position is to lead and oversee all aspects of projects to ensure project outcomes are successful.


 Essential Duties and Responsibilities




  • Lead and oversee the preparation of design ideas, architectural documentation, and executable delivery of projects.




  • Work with Principal and discipline leads to ensure the best available architectural resources are combined to deliver positive project outcomes.




  • Deliver high quality projects on time and on budget, and with high quality design.




  • Execute quality management reviews throughout all phases of the project.  Ensure firm processes and standards are met for quality.




  • Provide excellent project coordination between disciplines and outside consultants




  • Prepare project reports for management, clients and others.




  • Project management facilitation (including communication, manage the contract, staffing, budget, schedule, project scope, client and E&Os)



  • Best available architectural resources are combined and effectively utilized (staffing)

  • Firm processes and standards are met for quality

  • Project Coordination between disciplines and outside consultants

  • Project management facilitation (including communication, manage the contract, staffing, budget, schedule, project scope, client and E&Os)

  • Manage project profitability


  • Mentor other team members



Secondary Duties and Responsibilities



  • Promote company’s reputation through good client relations.

  • Continue education through seminars and participation in professional organizations.

  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Windows environment, Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel; Google: Mail, Calendar, Drive, Apps; familiarity with Deltek Vision preferred.


    • Architecture: Revit, Sketchup, Bluebeam; Graphic Software: InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop

Experience

Required
  • 5 - 12 years: Related experience
Preferred
  • Experience working with projects focused on Discovery-pharmaceutical labs or manufacturing helpful.

Education

Required
  • Bachelors or better in Architecture or related field
Preferred
  • Masters or better in Architecture or related field

Licenses & Certifications

Preferred

  • NCARB Certified

  • Am. Institute Architects

  • Registered Architect
