The Impact You Will Make in this Role:
As a Manufacturing Value Stream Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Initiate and lead Lean Six Sigma and service/cost improvement projects across the Value Stream. Use project management tools to convey objectives, timelines, obstacles, and next steps.




• Understand and use statistical analysis and PPU to improve process.  Effectively troubleshoot defects and variation, perform root cause analysis, and apply problem solving skills.




• Manage strategic source of supply projects.




• Drive capital investment, new product introduction, and new technologies to increase manufacturing capability.




• Provide daily engineering support for assigned areas including occasional availability on nights/weekends.  

Your Skills and Expertise: 
To help ensure your success in this role, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Science or Engineering (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution




• One (1) year of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications, though not required for consideration, include:

• Three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment




• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering




• Experience in leading multi-functional teams through complex projects from planning to completion




• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Experience with Six Sigma and Lean.




• Effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
