RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software Engineer in San Francisco, CA.

Overview:
This Software Engineer will be responsible for participating in automation design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools, and existing designs. The candidate will support coding scripts in Java to automate manual test cases as well as executing those scripts in an effort to test the functionality of Company Consumer and Small Business Technology applications.

In this Automation Software Engineer role, the Engineer will utilize Selenium/Java, Cucumber, Empirix, VB.NET, TestNG, Jenkins, and LISA ITKO (CA DevTest) to automate and virtualize manual test cases that reside in HP Quality Center ALM. These tasks will be conducted throughout the software development lifecycle, including during the SIT development phase for any given project to support the Shift Left concept.

The Software Engineer will develop and provide recommendations to the existing framework for these highly visible mission critical applications. The candidate will support general activities such as but not limited to: participate in overall project/systems testing, code automated test cases and maintenance of existing test cases, conduct code reviews, peer reviews, setup and maintain test data, metrics reporting to overall platform leads and managers to ensure platform release changes are deployed into production with high quality and defect free. The Software Engineer will work closely with application development, QA from other areas, and business groups to ensure successful collaboration.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience


• 5+ years of testing or quality assurance experience


• 5+ years of Core Java experience


• 4+ years of automation or regression testing experience


• 2+ years of experience designing and implementing solutions for test automation using Selenium and Java


• 2+ years of experience with BDD- Cucumber test automation framework for Feature Development - Scenarios, Feature Files.

Desired Qualifications:

• A BS/BA degree or higher in Science or Technology


• An industry-standard technology certification


• 3+ years of experience developing Single Page Architecture (SPA) web application using JavaScript, Angular or a combination of both


• 3+ years of Agile experience


• 1+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services


• Knowledge and understanding of automated regression and maintaining scripts in regression


• Knowledge and understanding of technology testing: automation and data automation


• Strong knowledge and understanding of the Branch Banking and/or Contact Center Model


• Knowledge and understanding of Selenium software testing framework


• Knowledge of widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games


• Experience developing with one or more of the following programming languages or frameworks such as HTML5, ActionScript, JavaScript, or Active Server Pages (ASP)


• Telecommunications experience


• Knowledge and understanding of DevOps principles
