YOUR ROLE
Regional Category Manager responsible for the procurement of materials under the Thermosets and Acrylates category for Adhesives Technologies - North America
Develop and execute strategic regional category initiatives, ensuring cost competitiveness and risk mitigation for Adhesives Technologies, in alignment with the Global Category Team.
Negotiate supplier terms and conditions and contract administration.
Responsible for stakeholder management, management of category spend, and KPIs (price, savings, payment terms).
Lead cross-functional teams to successfully manage risk and build supply chain resilience
Independently manage processes that include RFPs, tenders, reporting, analysis and e-sourcing.
Executes Henkel Purchasing tools and processes that include CCDB (cost chase database), Ariba, SAP, SRM and Risk Management tools.
YOUR SKILLS
MBA degree with a minimum of three years of related Purchasing experience (Raw Material Sourcing) or four-year college degree with six years of related experience.
Strong negotiation skills with flexibility to adapt to different contexts.
Ability to develop and implement sourcing strategies in complex raw material categories.
Market knowledge including supplier base, general industry information and cost drivers.
Knowledge of good purchasing practices, supply chain management and contract law as it applies to the procurement process.
Self-starter with strategic mindset and problem-solving attitude. Ability to work and thrive in complex business environment.
Ability to influence stakeholders, including peers and senior leadership, to support the category objectives.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced analytical capabilities and fluent user of tools such as Excel, Power BI etc. SAP and Ariba experience desired.
The salary range for this role is $95,900 to $125,000. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Connecticut. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
