Reports to Director. Assists endoscopy nurses and physicians with endoscopic procedures. Maintains, cleans, and disinfects endoscopy equipment. Associate will also set up the Endoscopy suite (equipment), along with performing patient care responsibilities and receptionist/clerical functions as needed.

Education and Experience
The knowledge, skills, and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of a High School Diploma or equivalent, and Certified as a Surgical Tech with Gastroenterology experience. Up to one year experience is required, and must maintain current CPR certification. A valid driver's license is required for travel between locations.

Requires the physical ability and stamina (i.e. to walk/stand for prolonged periods of time, push carts/wheelchairs up to 50 pounds, to position/lift patients at a maximum of 35 pounds unassisted, over 35 pounds requires assistance, provide CPR, etc.) to perform the essential functions of the position.

Monitors and orders replacement of stock paper supplies and materials according to predetermined levels.
Performs unit cleaning duties as directed. Keeps endoscopy rooms neat and free of clutter.
Is familiar with the work cycle of the GI Scopes in the endoscopy lab.
Obtains and has ready needed patient care equipment and supplies for the scheduled procedures.
Cleans and stores scopes appropriately.
