Job Overview


This position is responsible for monitoring the regulatory landscape and identifying relevant policy changes which could impact Press Ganey payer solutions and products. The person in this role leads projects to gather client and internal stakeholder feedback about policy changes and assists with the development of corporate positions. The policy analyst is responsible for drafting industry updates for internal and external audiences.



Duties and Responsibilities


Monitor regulatory and industry publications and identify relevant changes



  • Responsible for reading regulatory publications including but not limited to the Federal Register, Office of Management and Budget, Department of Health and Human Services, State Medicaid agencies, and the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA)

  • Participate in webinars, conference calls, and conferences sponsored by relevant regulatory agencies and industry leaders

  • Maintain awareness of industry trends

  • Identify relevant changes

  • Summarize proposed or finalized program changes


Communicate updates to internal and external audiences



  • Develop content for regulatory updates (e.g., webinars, slides, other resources)

  • Maintain internal webpages and other documentation for payer patient experience products

  • Coordinate with Product Management and CAHPS Operations teams to provide regular updates to cross functional group of internal stakeholders

  • Contribute to CAHPS/regulatory update newsletter to clients, monthly and as needed

  • Participate (virtually) in client meetings to provide policy updates and answer questions

  • Present updates as part of Press Ganey webinars


Gather stakeholder feedback



  • Solicit feedback from clients through account teams, as appropriate

  • Request input from Press Ganey Thought Leaders and other internal stakeholders

  • Compile feedback from multiple sources to inform decision making



Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Policy, Public Health or related field

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • 1-2 years of experience



Special Working Conditions



  • Requires work beyond normal business hours when CMS rules and NCQA guidance are released to ensure timely response. Limited travel (<5%).
