We are looking for a Certified Payroll Specialist/Subcontract Compliance to join our Pasadena Office!

Under the direction of the Certified Payroll Manager the Subcontractor Certified Payroll will coordinate the tracking and submission of certified payroll from our subcontractors and their sub tiers.


WHAT DOES THIS ROLE INVOLVE?



  • Primary contact for subcontractor for Certified Payroll compliance for ACCO Sunbelt Controls & Sunbelt Electrics.

  • Track the submission of certified payroll paperwork from subcontractors

  • Setup subcontractors in various systems including LCPtracker Elations Emar LAUSD etc

  • Processing of subcontractor certified payroll including distribution

  • Maintenance of the certified payroll folders for subcontractor paperwork

  • Provide customer support to subcontractors as related to certified payroll

  • Assist subcontractor with certified payroll start up paperwork.

  • Establish a system for rating subcontractors on CP compliance.

  • Work with the Contracts and Purchasing Dept to ensure Labor Compliance Packet are distributed to Subcontractors.

  • Performing general office duties such as filing copying etc.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Controller or Payroll Manager


WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN A CANDIDATE?



  • 2+ years of previous work with subcontractors and certified payroll submission

  • Previous Certified Payroll experience required

  • 2+ years of Data Entry experience.

  • Advanced MS Excel and proficiency in MS Word

  • Accurate 10-key by touch and demonstrated data-entry accuracy

  • Demonstrated customer service excellence including professional courteous phone skills

  • Ability to successfully work on several tasks with similar timeframes and similar deadlines

  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong aptitude for learning new systems and programs

  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required by Controller or Payroll Manager

  • Successfully passes a MVR check and 7-year Criminal check (including Person Search)

The employee is regularly required to walk and sit; climb or balance and stoop kneel crouch or crawl (for purposes of assisting with project job walks and site inspections).

  • The employee is occasionally required to reach above shoulder height to access storage cabinets and shelves.
