*Part Time Experienced RN Sign-on bonus up to $18,000, ask a recruiter for details* The Orthopedic/Neurology unit is a 35-bed unit with an average patient mix of 50% Orthopedic/Neurology patients and 50% medical surgical overflow. The routine patient to nurse ratio fluctuates with patient census; unit goal is 5 to 1 ratio. The unit is supported by a team consisting of the Unit Secretary, Patient Care Assistants, Transporters, Nutrition Ambassadors, RN's, RN Shift Supervisor's, a Clinical Educator, the Nurse Manager and Director along with a strong Physical and Occupational Therapy presence working as a cohesive team to ensure excellent patient care. Education/Licensures/Certifications: Current Texas RN license CPR certified from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Previous acute care medical surgical staff nursing experience preferred Experience with equipment specific to orthopedics: Traction, CPM, CBC II Assess, plan, evaluates, documents total nursing process Organized, self-motivated with exceptional follow-through skills Computer skills necessary; EMR Epic documentation Multi-task constantly and tolerate multiple interruptions Clear and effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals Compassionate customer service skills Committed to patient and family satisfaction
