VP  – Major Accounts, E&O/Cyber – (Location NYC)

Chubb is seeking a Major Accounts specialist in E&O/Cyber for its North America practice.  The ideal candidate will have extensive underwriting experience of E&O/Cyber products for large companies as well as previous leadership responsibilities.  

Key Accountability: 

The VP - Major Accounts will report to the head of Major Accounts and will be responsible for reviewing, managing and underwriting major accounts throughout North America.

 

Major Job Functions


  • Effectively leverages and builds key distribution relationships for E&O/Cyber Major Accounts, especially alpha house broker relationships.

  • Manages execution of Major Accounts underwriting strategies, articulating strategies and priorities internally with Financial Lines, Regional Operations, and GCE/MSL colleagues, as well as  externally with brokers/producers.

  • Assists in overseeing Major Accounts business and budget planning.

  • Partners and collaborates with the Professional, Cyber, PNP, and FI teams.

  • Collaborates with MSL, Marketing managers, REO, Branch Admin, OSD etc.

  • Assists the product team in achieving overall product team goals for premium, profitability, growth, retention, rate and expense plans for E&O/Cyber.

  • Builds relationships externally and will represent Chubb Financial Lines in the marketplace amongst brokers, customers, competitors and industry organizations; must be able to play a key leadership role accordingly

  • Underwriting Acumen: Demonstrates deep technical knowledge of Cyber and Professional Liability products, competitors and marketplace. Exhibits rigor and expertise in underwriting large, complex risks. Leadership: Effective engagement and motivation of underwriters to achieve organizational objectives aligned with the regional vision and values 

  • Relationship Management: Demonstrated ability to build strong key account relationships and manage customer expectations in changing market conditions. Proven track record promoting business retention and profitable growth.

  • Sales and Marketing: Working knowledge of Cyber/E&O products and marketplace.  Demonstrated ability to market and sell Chubb’s differentiated; value added coverage and service advantages. Proven prospecting skills and effective use of sales and marketing tools.  

  • Broker Management: Ability to build strong broker relationships and manage expectations under dynamic market conditions.  

  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with field, home office, claims, general counsel, product management, compliance, marketing and communications, OSD and L&D to provide the necessary support and tools for underwriters and UAs to successfully execute the underwriting strategy. Demonstrates effective consultation and partnership skills.

  • Communications: Demonstrated ability to manage communications and awareness effectively between various parties of interest, including brokers/agents, Branches, Product Managers and Senior Management.
