Responsibilities for Product Owner:



  • Craft actionable user stories for scrum teams to execute.

  • Actively engage in the work being executed by scrum teams.

  • Attend and fully participate in scrum ceremonies.

  • Communicate requirements and status across the broader development organization and stakeholder community.

  • Collaborate and iterate design ideas with User Research, stakeholders and real end users.

  • Determine immediate sprint deliverables and those associated with Program Increments (5-6 Sprints) and maintain a prioritized Product backlog.

Qualifications for Product Owner:



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.

  • Required 4+ years of demonstrated success as Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role.

  • Experience writing solid user stories and using product management and development tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Jira Align).

  • Experience working with software development teams, preferably in a scaled agile framework (SAFe) environment.

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner® or Certified SAFe® Product Owner / Product Manager, preferred.

  • Proven success gaining a deep understanding of stakeholder and user experience to improve stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Excellent communication skills to adapt to the unique needs of different audiences.

  • Knowledge of Library Management Systems (LMS’s) would be a plus.
