Description
A Technical Product Owner (TPO) in this role will demonstrate a sense of ownership and drive for results, as well as be the internal evangelist, build consensus with executives, colleagues, partners, and users. In addition, you will help lead the functional design process based on an intimate knowledge of business requirements and technology. TPO is passionate about working with cross-functional teams of data scientists, engineers, and business analysts to build & deliver exceptional products to optimize internal operations and improve our customer experience. TPO should be comfortable guiding technical implementation decisions and presenting to executives, create a comprehensive roadmap, help define and guide implementation of KPIs.

Key Qualifications


  • Responsible for maximizing the value for a product.

  • Experience guiding large-scale, data-centric software products

  • Experience leading multi-department teams: clarifying requirements, resolving conflicts, defining roadmap, and driving progress

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills (verbal and written)

  • Skilled at translating between business and technical teams

  • Ability to provide in-depth evaluations of complex engineering and analytic issues

  • Highly developed listening and negotiating skills to find compromises and tradeoffs, enhancing delivered value

  • Highly autonomous and comfortable working in an ambiguous, continually changing environment

  • Creativity to go beyond current processes to deliver the best solution for a problem or opportunity

  • Works closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, and with the Product Manager in a scaled Agile model to ensure there is alignment.

  • With some guidance, creates the vision and roadmap for the product to align with strategic direction for the business or technology domain.

  • Communicates the product vision and roadmap to stakeholders and the team. Collaborates with stakeholders to understand their needs and problems.

  • Reviews and accepts stories and is empowered to make on-the-spot decisions on scope and requirements.

Education & Experience

Working towards a bachelor's degree in any analytical, quantitative, or technical field (engineering, math, computer science, finance or similar) or equivalent experience

Minimum Education Requirements:

High school degree or equivalent required
