Kforce has a client in Burbank, CA that is seeking a Test Engineer - Video/iOS/Android
Description:
The Video QA team is responsible for supporting the architecture and delivery of VOD and Live content streamed across over 18 platforms. Video Quality Assurance is an extremely important aspect of the team's success. The Test Engineer will collaborate with multiple teams to deliver the best possible product. The Test Engineer will be responsible for video testing across multiple platforms and projects, including regression testing, smoke testing, and ad hoc testing. We are looking for someone who is experienced with agile scrum methodology and can be an active participant in all scrum rituals. In addition to being a representative from the video QA team, the Test Engineer will work closely with product management and engineering. This role requires going beyond running test cases, as it will be responsible for ensuring the requirements of the video engineering team are being met.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Work with consumer applications software testing expertise; You will join the team of hands-on proactive self-motivated and seasoned SQA professionals
Understanding requirements, creating test plans, test cases for new features and executing tests
Test video quality and playback across various native platforms, iOS, tvOS, Android, FireTV ,Google TV, etc.
Find, isolate, document, regress and track bugs through resolution
Interpret and report testing results and be a vocal proponent of quality in every phase of the development process
Represent the QA team in project/progress/status meetings
Integration test frontend and backend API,troubleshooting Json/xml responses from API
Management of Test results and reports
REQUIREMENTS:
6+ years of experience in software quality assurance in an agile environment
Industry experience and successful track record in video application and video playback testing on iOS, tvOS, Android, AndroidTV, google TV, Amazon fireTV, Chromecast
Industry experience in video streaming technologies HLS, DASH, DRM, DAI, Audio Video codecs
Industry experience in Live TV, video on demand and cloud DVR video streaming work flows
Experience in tools Charles/Fidler, Jira, Confluence and TestRail is a must
Strong understanding of testing methodologies, test practices and terminology
Knowledge of Xcode,Apple configurator, Android Studio, Adb commands , logcat , Chrome inspect , Google Ad Manager , new relic, etc.
Experience in the media and entertainment industry with consumer facing applications
Experience in automation testing using any object-oriented programming language (Python, Java) nice to have
Experience in API , web service testing is nice to have
Experience in CDN, CMS, CAN,HTTP is nice to have
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
