What Will Your Job Look Like?
The Manager, Big Data Architect will be a hands-on technical leader who designs, architects, and delivers Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing and Big Data Solution. The Manager, Big Data Architect will use data mapping, data mining and data transformational analysis tools to design and develop databases.
This is a remote/work from home position
Responsibilities:
Provide guidance and support for a team of developers
Work closely with application engineering, data analysis, and IT support teams to architect and engineer solutions running on our Big Data and other analytic platforms
Establish and enforce data standards, patterns and optimizations to enable teams to deliver high-performance analytics
Collaborate with analytic teams on future data needs, developing roadmaps, and setting expectations
Ensure data flows and related information are being tracked, managed and documented
Document data models and the data ecosystem at large using tools of various means
Ensure standards are met for data engineering and delivery efforts
Remain current with Big Data technologies in order to recommend best approaches in order to perform current and future work
Adhere to all corporate standards, procedures, and guidelines, including audits
Document existing data movement: record how data movement is happening
Interact with different levels of the organization from development to C-Level executives
All you need is...
High School Diploma or GED
Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years of equivalent work experience
Fifteen (15) years of related architect experience
Ten (10) years of ETL/ELT Architecture experience as well as process designing and experience with implementation and performance tuning of mappings/jobs/transformations
Five (5) years’ Eexperience with AWS services such as Athena, Glue, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB NoSQL, RDS (SQL Server), Amazon EMR and Amazon Redshift (required).
Five (5) years’ of Hhands on experience leading large-scale global data cloud warehousing and analytics projects

Skilled in working with Data API for Amazon Redshift
Some experience Experience with SSAS, SSRS, SSIS
Experience operating in a Windows and Linux environment
Experience in python, T-SQL, (python preferred) and data lake/ warehousing data modeling
Experience in development of custom built BI and big data reporting solutions using tools like Power BI (must), AWS Quick Sight, Tableau
DesireExperience with Predictive analytics: SageMaker
Ability to author, edit and present technical documents
Ability to elicit requirements and communicate clearly with non-technical individuals, development teams, and other project members
Experience working on multiple concurrent projects
Evaluate, work on proof-of-concept and make recommendations on the technologies based on their merit
