Kforce is seeking a full-time Project Manager to remotely support our enterprise technology client based in Austin, TX.
Overview:
The Project Manager will be part of a team of highly motivated technologists who are responsible for defining the future vision of client architectures and solutions for client products. The Project/Program Manager will be responsible for working closely with technologists, advanced architecture, product marketing, procurement, and experience design engineers on projects to incubate new features or capabilities that delight our customers and stun the competition. This position drives engineering project management within a structured product incubation process across key business functions to define, plan, and execute technology incubation projects.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Project Manager drives the development and execution of project plan by working with project team to define, sequence, and estimate duration of activities and determine schedules to meet project objectives
Drives all aspects of Project Management activity, including collaborating and coordinating across global company teams including engineering, services, marketing, operations, and support in addition to external hardware and software suppliers
Ensures all project documentation is up to date and communicated to all stakeholders
As a Project Manager, you manage the identification, resolution and escalation of project risks and issues
Defines supporting and/or driving process improvements
This role will be responsible for project management of product development activities
Team does long term strategy for client devices and incubates new features and capabilities for those products
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience as a project manager in a product development environment
Have in-depth disciplinary knowledge of project management techniques and tools
Program and/or project management experience with Solution, Product or Service offering development
Strong presentation and writing skills
Budget and schedule management experience
PMP or PMI certification preferred
Experience with Jira and other project management tools preferred
