A Day in the Life

In this exciting role as a Sr. Technical Supervisor, you will have responsibility for supervising a team whose responsibilities include performing installation, maintenance, and repairs of line manufacturing and plant equipment. You will respond to production team issues, investigate the issue, and develop a solution to ensure production is maintained. Throughout the course of this role, you will supervise technical work with a variety of optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, with top performers proposing and implementing preventive measures to improve the team's service for the production team. Additionally, this role will include creating new documentation for existing processes, ensuring both the technical content and user readability to promote consistent high standards of work. The team's work includes regular performance of preventive maintenance, production sustaining activities, as well as corrective maintenance in accordance with documented procedures. Additional tasks will include implementing continuous improvement initiatives to drive key performance indicators for the team. In all actions, top performers will work to develop tools and processes to improve overall team performance.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:


  • Ensure your team documents work as needed for equipment and production support tasks.
  • Ensure your team follows procedures, methods, and sequence of operations in performing daily tasks.
  • Ensure your team accurately assess root cause problems and develop solutions to correct issues as they arise.
  • Ensure your team provides all equipment, maintenance, calibration, and related documentation are in compliance with company specifications and quality standards.
  • Ensure your team actively contributes to ongoing continuous improvement efforts and projects.
  • Ensure your team handles production materials and chemicals per operating procedures.
  • Ensure your team maintains technician areas in accordance with good laboratory practices.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant Technical / Engineering Supervisory experience in a Manufacturing environment with a Bachelor's Degree, or 1 year of relevant Technical / Engineering Supervisory experience with a Master's Degree

Nice to Have


  • 7+ years work experience supporting manufacturing equipment
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree
  • 5+ years experience in Medical Device or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing experience.
  • Familiarity with technical writing and demonstrated ability to create work instructions, procedures, and additional supporting documentation that adheres to template guidelines.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve existing processes with the development of tools and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills including ability to work with a diverse team of different backgrounds and learning styles.
