This service requires operating and maintaining gas and chemical distribution equipment and systems 24/7 without issue or interruption.</span></p></br><strong>Job Summary</strong><p><span>Our Richardson, TX Gas Production Operations team is looking for a</span><span>experienced industrial I/E technician to troubleshoot, maintain and repair / replace field instruments and analytical equipment as needed. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, capable of working at elevated heights, and willing to respond to on-call needs. Experience with PLCs and / or industrial gas production is a plus.</span></p>\n<p><span>Working Shift: Monday - Friday</span></p></br><strong>Responsibilities</strong><ul>\n<li>Support in operation of, start-up and shut-down Nitrogen Generators and related cryogenic bulk liquid product & tanks to include.</li>\n<li>Calibrate and maintain instrumentation on nitrogen production plants, gas delivery systems, and liquid bulk systems</li>\n<li>Maintain and repair PLC's, computers equipment, single loop controllers and operator interfaces</li>\n<li>Repair instrumentation as identified in work requests in the computerized maintenance management system. Tune PID control loops</li>\n<li>Calibrate and maintain plant instrumentation (transmitters, valves, switches).</li>\n<li>Complete PM's as required in computerized maintenance management system.</li>\n<li>Document work performed in computerized maintenance management system.</li>\n<li>Troubleshoot plant control system issues.</li>\n<li>Assist in solving control system problems and installing new control systems.</li>\n<li>Design instrumentation related controls.</li>\n<li>Maintain spare parts inventory for instrumentation and control systems.</li>\n<li>Provide 24-hour support to the high purity nitrogen production plant, liquid bulk, and high purity gas delivery systems.</li>\n<li>Write standard operating procedures.</li>\n<li>Log instrumentation and controls activities that affect plant operations in the operations log books.</li>\n<li>Provide assistance at other Air Liquide plants or customer sites as needed.</li>\n<li>Report pipeline and plant abnormalities to plant manager.</li>\n<li>Report safety incidents and near misses to plant manager.</li>\n<li>Perform job functions in a manner that meets or exceeds the company's HSE standards.</li>\n<li>Control costs to achieve budget targets.</li>\n<li>Demonstrate ability to follow directions from site operations manager.</li>\n<li>Offers suggestions to improve system and procedure efficiency and quality.</li>\n<li>Ability to be on call and respond to plant sites 24/7 within one hour as required when on call, and available by phone and able to reasonably support when not on duty.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Skill Set/Knowledge/Expertise</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Familiarity with pneumatic controls, DCS systems, analyzers, transmitters and valves.</li>\n<li>Good communication skills.</li>\n<li>Possess good supervision/time management skills and be a self-motivated learner.</li>\n<li>Display aptitude for controlling an emergency situation and coordinating problem-solving actions.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Other Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to perform duties at elevated conditions and lift 50 lbs.</li>\n<li>Manual dexterity to operate valves and use instrumentation tools</li>\n</ul></br><strong>Requirements</strong><ul>\n<li>Associate Degree in a technical field</li>\n<li>5+ years of instrumentation-related work experience</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>All employees are required to show proof of being fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (fully vaccinated is currently defined as two weeks since your final dose).</strong></em></li>\n<li><em><strong>Covid-19, site restrictions mandate that all employees wear a face mask while onsite.</strong></em></li>\n</ul></br>","title":"I/E Technician","datePosted":"2021-11-29T00:00:00-08:00","@context":"http://schema.org/"}
