Responsible for all plant maintenance, equipment installation and development, consistent with company specifications, equipment and process improvements, procedures and standard for quality costs and customer service.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES


  1. Responsible for keeping the building, machinery, and equipment in good order to allow the customer to be satisfied.

  2. Implement a plant-wide TPM program.

  3. Purchase all spare and replacement parts.

  4. Coordinate activities with other line and staff departments.

  5. Stop any equipment or machinery due to unsafe operation.

  6. Review all PM work orders.

  7. Prepare work schedules for maintenance department.

  8. Analyze equipment performance and efficiency and develop improvement projects.

  9. Train and develop the plant maintenance personnel

  10. Review projects with General/Plant Manager.

  11. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES



  1. Knowledge of all machinery and equipment and the proper procedure for safe operation of same.

  2. Ability to train employees on the proper maintenance of equipment while adhering to company safety guidelines.

  3. Experience with spare parts inventory programs and has organized spare parts room with a perpetual inventory system.

  4. Experience with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) program to improve OEE and line efficiency.

  5. Ability to analyze equipment downtime and develop corrective measures.

  6. Must be able to communicate well with assigned personnel, both written and verbally.

  7. Experience with PLC controlled assembly automation equipment.



DECISIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  1. To maintain both the building and all equipment in working order to enhance the ability of production to be able to meet production requirements.

  2. To be able to communicate both written and verbally with all levels of employees, and vendors.

  3. Lead the introduction of a plant-wide TPM program.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


  1. Must be able to lift up to approximately 50 pounds.

  2. Must be able to sit at a desk and operate a computer.

  3. Must be able to stand and walk continuously during shift.

  4. Must be able to use both hands and arms in repetitive motion.

  5. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat to perform duties.

WORKING CONDITIONS


  1. Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment.

  2. Must also be able to work in an office environment.

  3. Must be able to use various office equipment such as telephone, computer, calculator, facsimile, copier/printer.

  4. Must be able to work in a noisy, dusty area.

  5. Must be able to work in both hot and cold atmosphere depending on weather conditions.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS



  1. High school graduate or equivalent.

  2. Must have 5-10 years of supervisory experience in an automated assembly manufacturing operation.

  3. Completed a PLC training program.
