The Technical Consultant is responsible for day to day execution to drive delivery of key metric results while increasing claim management accuracy and service delivery. The Technical Consultant will develop and maintain a culture of continuous improvement by identifying root cause, problem solving, identify solutions to improve performance and innovation. The Technical Consultant will report to the Technical Manager, Claims.
You will
Provide Technical Support to Claim Teams including Claim Auth reviews, serve as SME on complex issues
Drive improvements in initial claim decision, Claim Management Accuracy and & CID turnaround times
Leverage automation and/or alternate sourcing options to handle additional tasks
Collaborate with all lines of business to promote best practices to improve efficiency
Serve as Subject Matter Expert to support timely and effective delivery of Workstream Initiatives
Demonstrate ability to identify and manage risk
Continuously strives to provide superior customer service
Expresses oneself in an open and honest manner
Demonstrates self-awareness and embraces feedback

Reporting Relationships
Technical Manager, which, in turn, reports to the Assistant Vice President, Group Claims.
You have
3 years LTD claims handling experience, prior DI experience or equivalent experience required
Minimum 1 year experience providing feedback to front line staff and front-line supervisors.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Proven training skills on an individual and team basis
Ability to mentor/coach staff and peers to ensure proper claim adjudication and contribute to staff development
Location & Vaccination Requirements
The primary location for this position is Bethlehem, PA, Plano, TX, or Homdel, NJ, with work from home flexibility.
