Job Title: Graphics Assistant Manager

Reports to: Graphics Manager

Scope: Responsible for effectively organizing communications, tracking, billing, and scheduling daily Graphics Department activities to support all aspects of ABC Graphics' products and services.

Pay Range: $20 - $25 per hour, based on experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Ensure that communications are timely, and schedules are maintained flawlessly and thoroughly with both internal and external customers


• Follow established policies and procedures


• Monitor the efficiency of operations


• Promote customer service through training and related initiatives


• Support Service, Sales and Marketing efforts


• Manage an effective safety program


• Compliance with governing regulations


• Communicates with customers and provides daily updates on progress


• Ensures that all requests of the department are documented, scheduled, and tracked


• Actively seeks new business and service opportunities for the company in line with current capabilities and capacities


• Is responsible for orientation, training, and development of graphics shop personnel


• Oversees the quality of products and services from the department


• Prepares estimates and helps with bids as required


• Ensures that an adequate volume of supplies, and materials are available to support graphics shop operations


• Ensures the department performs the required preventive maintenance programs for equipment used in the production of graphics


• Responsible for implementing a method to track and quickly locate all available opportunities, past jobs, and artwork by customer, including estimates and RFP's


• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment


• Work with customers to design requested graphics and ensure their satisfaction


• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated systems management ability in the graphics industry


• Degree in graphics design or 3 years plus related experience in the design and application field


• 3M Graphics Application Certification is a benefit but not required.


• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Requires strong organizational skills to include the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously (multi tasking), prioritize tasks, and complete assignments within expected time frames and communicating status as progress takes place


• Possess a working knowledge of current automated business systems preferably Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, Roland graphics printer, Gerber product software


• Knowledge in Adobe illustrator & photoshop design software is a plus, but must be able to learn it once hired

Skills:

• Must be creative and able to design, process and install graphic materials to vehicles and other surfaces as required


• Must be a self-starter and always possess a positive attitude


• Must have good attendance


• Willingness to travel is a plus, with possible work on weekends / overtime required


• Must be willing to teach/mentor other technicians with your personal strengths


• May be required to guide/lead graphics shop and team from time to time

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 100 pounds


• Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift infrequently
