DESCRIPTION:

The Senior International Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for supporting the Senior Manager, International Supply Chain in establishing optimal supply chains for current and emerging international markets. This position leads the timely supply chain implementation in new markets and co-leads the development of processes that optimize the International SCM program. The Senior International Supply Chain Specialist conducts activities in support of local or regional international supply chain such as assisting in supplier selection, coordination of samples/product evaluations, and collaborating with suppliers and international partners on regulatory/product compliance and supply assurance. This position assists with product import/export in support of international operations and serves as a liaison between international operating partners and PRG SCM resources and suppliers. This position creates and updates databases documenting the food/non-food products, processes, and regulatory requirements for each country and supply chain pro-forma related to new market openings.


  • Leads supply chain activities related to the opening of new markets, such as coordinating activities to determine product source (import vs. export), obtaining and submitting documents required for regulatory compliance/customs clearance, and arranging for the shipment of opening orders. Ensures that selected Critical Proprietary Products are delivered in a timely fashion for new market openings.

  • Leads or assists with developing processes to optimize international supply chain through building alignment and resourcing with cross functional PRG Teams and external stakeholders.

  • Collaborates with suppliers, International Partners, and internal stakeholders to coordinate sample/product evaluations, document regulatory compliance, and prepare specifications and documentation in support of international supplier development and new market product registration and approval.

  • Creates and updates International supply chain databases, documenting the raw materials, food/non-food products, processes, and regulatory requirements for each country. Creates and updates pro-forma documents (such as item lists, usage estimates, specifications) for International Partners in support of new market openings.

  • Leads or supports cross-functional projects with PRG departments including Marketing, SCM, PD, FSQA, and International Partners to support international growth and optimize supply chains in current markets thorough projects that help to meet Panda Supply's safety, service, cost, quality, and growth objectives. Ensures strong communications across departments and with international partners.

  • Collaborates with stakeholders to support International Marketing initiatives such as product promotions (LTO's).

  • Maintain strong relationships with International Partners and suppliers. Communicates new costing, changes in distribution, and product reformulations to International Partners. Communicates with suppliers on new market usages, regulatory compliance needs, and partner distribution/ordering strategy.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

  • Minimum five years of SCM or international retail hospitality/restaurant experience
