Plant Manager

Location: Huron, South Dakota

The cooperative is a livestock feed manufacturer and distributor headquartered in Huron, South Dakota, that also operates four company owned retail locations. The company manufactures and distributes dry and liquid feeds, minerals, and co-products merchandised from surrounding ethanol plants. The cooperative strives to achieve the most efficient methods to distribute livestock feed throughout geography served by its cooperative owners. The key to the company's success is its superior customer service oriented sales and support staff who go the extra mile to serve the needs of its farmer-producers and dealer partners.

Position Summary:

The Plant Manager based in in Huron, SD provides overall direction for the facility in the areas of safety, quality, cost, delivery and morale. Responsible for driving improved performance, customer relationships, plant asset utilization and positive employee engagement.

Other responsibilities include: Managing all plant resources to optimize profitability to meet or exceed internal and external customer expectations. Creating a positive work environment that supports continuous improvement and employee engagement.This position will have direct reports.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's or Technical degree in animal science or related field preferred OR relevant work experience.

-5+ years experience in a food/feed processing environment. Prior supervisory/management experience preferred.
