Kforce's client, a growing software-based Technology Company in Ventura, CA, is seeking a couple of Remote Senior Microservices System Development Engineers. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager on this exclusive search assignment. These positions are 100% remote.
Summary:
For this role, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team - the kind of engineer that is fluent in (and loves!) data structures, O-notation, and algorithms. This position will be heavily involved in the evolution from scale-up architectures to scaled-out microservices. Tech stack is a mix of React front ends calling .NET Core microservices, hosted in AWS on top of the (stellar) Aurora database platform.
Responsibilities:
Senior Microservices Development Engineer will develop and troubleshoot functionality of highly performance REST-based microservices
Assist with the development and maintenance of automated unit test cases
Collaborate with team and other engineering staff to accomplish all daily engineering tasks on-time with a high level of quality
Senior Microservices Development Engineer will ensure defects are addressed in the project lifecycle resulting in the resolution of the defect or the defect being moved to a future release
Continue to advance knowledge and skills through training and mentoring
Participate in daily stand-ups and other team meetings
Participate in the development of end- user documentation
Senior Microservices Development Engineer must maintain excellent knowledge of technologies related to web and/or mobile applications
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent industry experience
4-10 years of software engineering experience
Strong understanding of algorithms and overall system and creativity on building solid applications/systems including experience with cloud
Strong computer science algorithmic and data structures skills
Experienced with C# .Net development
Will also consider other programming languages as well
Strong Microservices creation experience
Proficiency coding in C# or an equivalent language
Any front end - JavaScript with a modern framework (Angular/React, etc.)
Python is a plus but not required
Familiarity with data and SQL preferred
Experience with relational databases (NoSQL is helpful but not required)
Familiar with Agile concepts
Cloud experience in AWS or other type of Cloud Technologies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to effectively interact with, peers, managers, and vendors
Self-starter with high level of initiative
Ability to pay high attention to detail, troubleshoot, and analyze
Strong commitment to department and company goals
