Prepare function room for banquet function; set tables and place settings.
Serve drink of choice to guests.
Garnish and decorate dishes prior to serving.
Observe diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when the meal has been completed.
Suggest desserts, beverages, and after-dinner drinks.
Ladle soup, toss salads, portion pies and desserts, brew coffee and perform other services as needed.
Clear and reset tables at the conclusion of each course.
Adhere to Sonesta Service Standards.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Must be 18 years of age to serve liquor in the State of Massachusetts.
Two to three years experience in a similar position in a luxury hotel.
Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience
The person in this role must possess a good written and verbal command of the English language, fluency in a second language preferred.
