Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) ES&H Facilities & Site Service group is seeking forward-thinking, professionals interested in exploring a career as an Industrial Safety Professional!
The Industrial Safety Professional must be a skilled safety individual who can apply a broad base of existing theories, principles, and concepts in the field of safety engineering with wide application. Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, DOE, ANSI standards, orders, and regulations is pertinent. Representative assignments include, but are not limited to, independent development of safety for industrial, construction, and nuclear facilities, providing mentoring to junior staff, leading the development of safety assessments for facilities, and reviewing work control documents that require creative advanced safety engineering solutions. You need the ability to lead projects with regards to safety engineering support on projects that are broad in nature and not well defined. This role requires use of judgment in selecting methods and techniques for hazards and mitigations. Actions will be taken by this individual to proactive keep abreast of new developments in safety engineering and maintain their skill level. Seek to continue developing safety engineering skills and maintain relationships of trust with customers and co-workers.
