The Senior Ops Engineer leads research, design, and testing related to Operations innovative engineering projects to improve Operations efficiency and effectiveness, including new and enhancement of existing equipment and technologies. This position leads the evaluation of Operations-related projects with vendors and Operations.

Descriptions

* Leads research and evaluation of existing equipment and technology to improve Operations efficiency and effectiveness related to saving labor costs, improving food quality, creating energy savings, and extending equipment's life span.

* Leads research and evaluation of potential new technologies to design and develop new equipment to improve Operations efficiency and effectiveness related to saving labor costs, improving food quality, creating energy savings, and extending equipment's life span.

* Leads the design and testing of new and/or enhanced equipment and technologies. Sets schedules and follows up with vendors and Operations on all equipment testing in the vendor's lab and PRG test kitchen. Reviews, evaluates, and makes recommendations for improvement to the vendor prior to the field test.

* Oversees and coordinates Ops Innovation and Engineering and other departments related to financial impact studies and Operations evaluation. Prepares reports incorporating recommendations for review by responsible party.

* Collects and reviews equipment technical data, cost estimates, technical support, and survey results for each project.

* Leads implementation system-wide roll-out for any new equipment, cookware, or small ware as assigned.

* Responds to any service requests, concerns, or special design needs from Operations for equipment-related projects. Works with Operations and Facilities on any equipment or cookware issues.

* Coaches Engineering team members on company's equipment and technology testing procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering required

* Minimum five years of Engineering and Operations work

* Completed GO 101 class and two public speaking courses (e.g., Toastmasters)

* Successful completion of annual store training
