Job Description



The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer to be a part of the Transition of Operations team.

This team is within the Naval Reactors Facility Engineering Department and will be developing building and system cognizance for startup and operation of the new Naval Spent Fuel (NSFH) Facility.

This position will assist this new unit by:


  • Planning the start up in the new NSFH Facility

  • Incorporating equipment associated with the start of the NSFH facility

  • Developing and/or validating the local procedures for the operation and maintenance






Required Skills



Associate:


  • BS degree in engineering or Bachelor's degree in a science related field from an accredited college or university required.

Intermediate:


  • BS degree in engineering or Bachelor's degree in a science related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years of relevant experience; or

  • MS degree in engineering or Master's degree in a science related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one year of relevant experience







Preferred Skills




  • Understanding of facility system maintenance and design

  • Knowledge or experience maintaining facility structures, systems, or components

  • Knowledgeof building codes andregulatory requirements

  • Subcontracting experience

  • GPA 3.0 or higher preferred
