Position Summary: 
This position is intended to be an early career level, leadership development position that will fast-track high potential individuals into leadership positions around the company.  Future leaders will get broad exposure to executive level management and typically learn the business from a functional area perspective.  Fast learning and geographically mobile candidates will get maximum exposure to next level leadership opportunities within an 18 – 24 month horizon.  This position has strong connectivity throughout the entire global organization to formulate and execute strategies for an agile response to customer demand.
 
AS A OPERATIONS & SUPPLY CHAIN STRATEGIC PLANNER, YOU WILL
 
Strategy and Planning


  • Maintain comprehensive operational footprint database and develop a 5 year plan for every facility


  • Develop a global order fulfillment strategy utilizing direct shipments, distributions centers, and service centers


  • Establish product and process capability matrix for all facilities, including global capacity and expansion plans


  • Define areas of operational and supply chain risk and develop mitigation and contingency plans


  • Analyze product family architecture and volumes and make rationalization recommendations based on financial sustainability


  • Assess organizational leverage and synergies across all D&I sites in operations, supply chain, logistics, trade compliance, and Perfect Execution 

Execution and Performance Optimization


  • Drive service level optimization by defining leading indicators and proactive actions; lead task force for rapid resolution


  • Drive regionalization plans and timing – make in the region what is sold in the region.  Rationalize inter-co dependencies.


  • Develop common global operations & supply chain performance dashboard using Power BI or other visualization software to assess trends, progress, and opportunities


  • Lead an effort to rationalize all current reports and KPI’s.  Optimize distribution and storage of reports and dashboards.


  • Work with the world area operations and supply chain leaders to assist in the preparation of Operations Reviews, Financial Review, Profit Review, Operations & Supply Chain Summits, and best practice sharing


  • Capital requirements and planning

 

Projects


  • Drive Ad hoc analytics and reporting for operations, supply chain, logistics, trade compliance


  • Interface with finance to analyze sales and GP by product, by site, including labor & overhead rates, productivity, absorption, and operational efficiencies


  • Lean Manufacturing, Demand Pull, Perfect Execution, and Inventory projects as needed


  • Digital Factory:  test & inspect, assembly, additive manufacturing, material movement, digital transformation, and automation initiatives


  • Research, analyze, and develop tools as needed to enable D&I initiatives and assessments

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • BS in technical field or Supply Chain / Operations Management


  • Five years relevant work experience


  • 20% travel (domestic and international)


  • Ability to analyze and interpret data


  • Strong communication and presentation skills


  • Works well leading teams in matrix environment


  • Project management experience


  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Power BI

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  


  • MBA Preferred
