Overview

At CAES, our Planners maintain the scheduling tools used on our critical programs. You'll develop and present detailed status and establish a baseline planning structure, including presenting information for management review.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:


  • Develops, plans and, schedules for Operations, supporting first-unit flow plans and documents

  • Secures and coordinates information on manufacturing plans and schedules by working collaboratively across the business

  • Assures planning data is properly maintained in Oracle systems and generates documents for Oracle input. Collects data in support of various performance metrics

  • Analyzes support data (computer reports, drawings, bills of material, lead times, fixed order quantities, etc.) to establish Master Demand and Manufacturing Kit Release schedules to meet contractual end item delivery requirements

  • Investigates the causes of schedule impacts and recommends corrective action(s), including analyzing the complexity of proposed engineering changes on Operations activities


Qualifications

Minimum:


  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years' experience in a corporate planning role, an Associate's Degree and 4 years' experience in a planning role OR a High School Diploma/GED with 5 years' experience in a planning role

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance

Preferred:


  • 5+ years' experience in a corporate Planning role

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office package

  • Understanding of MRPII principles

  • Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system(s)

  • Experience preferences given to planning, production control/expediting, material planning, or material handling

  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office package

  • Microsoft Project Experience

  • Experience with machine shop operations and scheduling, i.e., batch-sizing, setup time vs. machine time, and work center capacity planning

  • Experience in DOD, aviation, or electronics industry
