Position Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Site Accountant for our Plant Accounting position. This is a multi-tasking position with the opportunity to learn many aspects of accounting, compliance and reporting.

Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and distribute management reports on a regular basis.

  • Review and analyze financial results.

  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and rolling forecasts.

  • Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Assist with Inventory and Asset cycle counts and audits.

  • Participate on operational improvement teams as assigned.

  • Recommend process improvements.

  • Report food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action.

  • Regularly stand, reach and move around facility

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Candidate must be willing to relocate to IL in 6-12 months once trained

  • Four-year degree in Business, Accounting or Finance required

  • One to five years of accounting experience

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical or business journals, financial reports and potentially legal documents

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to write reports and routine business correspondence

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the general public

  • Computer literate - proficient in MS Office products desired ( i.e., Excel, Word)
