Chubb is currently interviewing for a Construction Surety Intern position in Whitehouse Station, NJ.

Internships at Chubb helps interns learn, develop and succeed as they prepare to face the career challenges in today’s high performing and fast-paced business climate. Interns who succeed at Chubb are often considered for admission to Chubb’s Early Career Development Program (ECDP) after graduation. The ECDP is an interdisciplinary program designed to assist in the professional development of select individuals whose performance, previous professional experience at or before Chubb, and educational achievements qualify them for consideration for admission as a Professional Associate. 

The Chubb Internships are designed to include hands-on business assignments in a variety of disciplines and direct interaction with many of our senior executives. As part of this program you will receive:


  • Targeted business training to support your career progression at Chubb;

  • Technical training to deepen your skill level within your chosen discipline; and an understanding of our broader industry;

  • Access to additional training to compliment your professional development.

As a Chubb Construction Surety Intern, you will be part of an experience that supports the well-rounded development of critical business skills that contribute to the future success of Chubb Surety. The program allows for hands-on experience, team assignments and exposure to a network which includes other early career professionals and senior executives. Under supervision, the Intern will work to accomplish the following responsibilities:


  • Begin to develop an understanding of the surety product, Chubb Construction Surety appetite and marketplace with on-the-job development and self-study assignments

  • Demonstrate a basic level of business knowledge to play an active role in the construction surety dual underwriting process.

  • Work to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with agents, brokers, department associates and management

  • Develop a basic level of financial acumen and analysis

  • Begin developing critical thinking and decision making skills to provide solutions and alternative courses of action in a timely manner

    Requirements:


    • Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Risk Management/Insurance, Actuarial Science or Marketing preferred

    • GPA of 3.0 or higher

    • Leadership and teamwork experience through work or involvement in community service, athletics, clubs or other activities
