An exciting opportunity is readily available as a CONTRACT Hospital Accounting Manager. This is a temporary, contract position working a full-time, Monday through Friday schedule. 

The CONTRACT Hospital Accounting Manager will lead the accounting services team of a reputable health system that offers 40+ locations throughout the region, including (but not limited to) Inpatient Acute Care Medical Centers, a Post Acute Care Hospital, Community Hospital, Outpatient Services, Physician Practices, Specialty Centers, and more. This academic affiliated health system is notable for their world-class physicians, clinical trials, ongoing research, and specialized services. 

The CONTRACT Hospital Accounting Manager will oversee all corporate accounting services for the health system, be supported by a team of Senior and Staff Accountants, and report to the Director of Accounting Services. The CONTRACT Hospital Accounting Manager must manage the month-end accounting close, prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations, and resolve unreconciled items to ensure accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). In addition, this role is responsible for leading continuous process improvement initiatives, hiring/training staff, and accounting research and preparation of accounting memos as directed.

The Hospital Accounting Manager - CONTRACT should be detail oriented, able to function in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment, thorough knowledge of GAAP, strong communication skills, organized, and a problem solver.  

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree, Master Degree Preferred


• Active CPA 


• Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine 


• Previous Hospital Accounting experience in a management 


• Skills: Lawson, Microsoft Access, and Crystal Reports.

Ideally the Hospital Accounting Manager will have management or supervisory experience along with a background working in a “Big 4” public accounting firm, large corporate accounting experience or healthcare accounting involving preparation of monthly general ledger account reconciliations and journal entries and facilitating the monthly close. 

The Hospital Accounting Manager - CONTRACT position is a Monday through Friday opportunity working onsite in the corporate office that is based out of the flagship hospital in Ohio. The CONTRACT Hospital Accounting Manager will be offered a 13-week contract that may be extended through 2022.
